"We're Still Big Ten Champions!"

I went to my first Michigan State University (State) Basketball game on Sunday. The game was against Ohio State University.

Unfortunately the game didn't turn out with a win but it was still an exciting game.

If State would have won they would have won the Big Ten Champion title out right and not have to share the title. But due to the lost they had to share the title with not only Ohio State University but with the University of Michigan as well...come on State you're killing me.

It was a big group of us that went including: Big-D & Me, Cousin-Zack (who is a Michigan fan), Cousin Josh & Cousin Jess, Uncle Tom, and Future Father-in-Law & Sister-in-Law.

I find it fun to post all over the internet when a die hard U of M fan wears something State.

Sunday night was the last basketball game of the regular season and senior night. The best part was seeing Delvon Roe back at the Breslin Center.  Roe had to give up playing due knee injuries but being that he played for  three years for State, Izzo brought him back for seniors night.

The seniors on the team: Delvon Roe (#10), Austin Thronton (#13), Draymond Green (#23), Brandon Wood (#30) and Anthony Ianni (#44).

There was only one unfortunate injury of a key player during the game. Branden Dawson injured his knee halfway through the first half. Dawson ranked number two on the team in rebounds and number three in scoring.

Dawson (#22) unfortunately torn his ACL in the left knee.

As we walked to your seats we couldn't figure out why there were newspapers sitting on the seats in the lower level. After warm-ups we found out what they were for...

The student section would read them as they announced the Ohio State Players. It was rather funny.

Team warm-ups. Now lets focus in on the guy in green warm-up suit.

Who could it be...I already kind of spoiled the surprise. The man in green is Delvoe Roe.

State transition.

State ball.

I had a lot of fun at the game even though I am not the biggest basketball fan. I prefer baseball and football. I would definitely go again but would totally get better seats...aka don't let Future Sister-in-Law wait til the last minute to have to find seats.

Hope I didn't bore you to much with my random weekend fun.

Over and out,
A Engineer in the Kitchen
